We’re happy announce that the Android Developer Nanodegree kickoff celebration will be remote-friendly! No matter where in the world you are, you’ll be able to attend and participate via Hangouts On Air and watch recorded versions of the sessions later on. Make sure you’re a member of our Google+ Community to take part in the festivities!

Below is a tentative schedule of the day, with all times listed in EDT. Check out this forum post for more details about attending remotely, as well as links to the Hangouts On Air you’ll tune into for each part of the event.

  • 4:00 - 4:30 PM: Mingling/Community Building Activities
  • 4:30 - 4:45 PM: Welcome
  • 4:45 - 5:45PM: 3 Breakout sessions, each 20 minutes long. Choose 3 of the following 6 topics:
    • Career development opportunities
    • App entrepreneurship
    • Tips, tricks, and troubleshooting in Android studio
    • What’s it like to work as an Android dev in the real world?
    • Nanodegree program and Udacity-related questions
    • How are courses made at Udacity?
  • 5:45 - 6:00PM Closing + Prizes
